BusyBrides have been contacted by a Development Researcher at an award winning television company called Twofour and are currently looking into the possibility of making a new series about people getting married. They are keen to explore the week leading up to a wedding and the wedding itself so would focus on the bride and her family and the groom and his family as you prepare for your exciting and memorable day. The tone will be genuine, warm and celebratory to reflect the breath of different types of weddings in modern Britain.
To tell you a bit about Twofour, they were voted Best Independent Production Company in the country at the 2014 Broadcast Awards and they specialise in working with sensitive organisations and charities to produce ground breaking documentary series. In the past they have worked with the Department of Education to produce multi-award winning series Educating Essex and Educating Yorkshire for Channel 4, the Navy to created Royal Marines Commando School (Channel 4) and Clarence House and the MOD on Harry’s South Pole Heroes (ITV). So you would be in good hands.
They have been in discussion with one of the major UK broadcasters about this idea and are now keen to spread the word about what they are looking for by approaching couples who are soon to be married as well as asking wedding professionals if they have been working with any great brides and grooms that might like to find out more.
I personally wouldn't recommend this for anyone that has already organised a videographer for their wedding day as this will only make this frustrating for your current supplier and maybe dilute what they are trying to achieve for you, but for those that don't, this is a perfect opportunity to have a long lasting and beautiful memory on video without denting that very important wedding budget.
